Emirates Prepares For Capacity Cut

Emirates Airlines has confirmed that it has stopped taking bookings on some of its flights between April and May next year when Dubai International Airport (DXB) will shut down the southern runway for upgrade works. The airline is preparing for a reduction in capacity and is expecting to cut flights by 28% over the planned 45 days of the runway upgrade.

New flight schedules in that phase are yet to be decided.

DXB will carry the refurbishment work for 45 days between 16 April and May,2019 which will see a significant reduction in flight movements along with the diversion of some of flights to Al Maktoum International Airport.
