Remember that episode of Friends where everyone bands together to buy lottery tickets? Well, that’s exactly what this group of friends did! And, it worked out a lot better for them, too.
Gurmeet Singh and nine of his colleagues pooled money together to buy a coupon for the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire and Finest Surprise draw, and won. The draw took place on Tuesday and earned the group a whopping Dhs 3.6 million between them. The group, consisting of Indian, Bangladeshi and Filipino expatriates chipped in for ticket number 1197 and will share the winnings between the ten of them.
