Dusty Weather Is Expected To Last All Week

On Monday morning, Dubai residents woke up to dusty and humid weather as sandstorms continue to sweep over the city.

According to the latest weather reports, dusty weather is expected to last all week.

Residents have been advised to be extra cautious during hazy and dusty conditions as weather like this can trigger respiratory and eye infections. Motorists should be extra cautious on the roads as the visibility is expected to be less than 2,000 meters at times.

According to The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) the temperature in the UAE is expected to go above 40°C, with the maximum cap of 49°C in inland areas. Meanwhile, the rising humidity levels are ranging between 55-75 percent.

The NMC weather forecast revealed the weather will continue to be hot and hazy during the daytime on Monday and some clouds will appear eastwards, which may become convective at times during the afternoon and could extend to some internal areas of the country. There will also be light to moderate winds throughout the week, with suspended and blowing dust. Sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.

According the the NCM forecast, the weather is likely to be more humid on Thursday morning with a chance of fog/mist formation. The dusty weather is expected to last until this coming Friday, 3 August.
