Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) has launched a new pilot programme through which the new smart screens, installed in taxis, will help you make payments and book tickets to local attractions.
In the initial phase, smart screens have been installed in 50 DTC taxis as a part of a pilot programme. The smart screens will help passengers to make card payments and access online services.
ARN News Centre reports that the programme will be increased to 700 taxis.
The emirate’s Roads and Transport Authority also announced a $19m smart metre system upgrade for taxis last year to help drivers reach their destination and better calculate fares.
