UAE residents will now have to invest in a Nol card to enter Dubai’s public parks.
According to Dubai Municipality, main public parks will no longer issue paper tickets to UAE residents.
Nol cards are the city’s public transport payment system which is now required to enter Zabeel Park, Al Mamzar Beach Park, Mushrif Park and Creek Park.
Residents who do not have a Nol card, used to access through new ‘smart’ gates, will have to purchase one at Dhs 25 from the ticket counters.
The card requires Dhs 6 for activation and Dhs 19 is charged for park entry.
Tourists visiting the parks with relatives living in the UAE must also use the cards.
