The Dubai Frame and Dubai Safari to open before National Day

Planning your National Day weekend won’t be so hard now these cool attractions are due to open.

The delayed Dubai Safari confirmed a soft opening to the general public before the UAE’s National Day on 2 December.

The Dhs 1 billion wildlife sanctuary has been behind schedule and is finally ready to open with the completion of its phase 1.

Dubai Safari’s technical director Tim Husband confirmed that almost 3,500 animals are well in place for when the safari doors open.

Dubai Frame is also set to open around the same time. You’ll be able to walk 150m above the city on a 93m wide structure. It is positioned in such a way that you  get the perfect view of all Dubai’s landmarks with views of the older parts of the city on one side and new Dubai on the other.

The Dubai Frame - Facts

  • The frame measures 150 metres high and 93 metres wide.
  • The two towers are connected by a 100-square-metre bridge, which has a 25-square-metre glass panel in the middle.
  • It was designed by award-winning architect Fernando Donis, who also designed Dubai’s Porsche Design Towers, and the Dubai Renaissance Tower.
  • There will be a museum on the ground floor that will showcase Dubai’s transformation from fishing village to metropolis.
  • It is predicted the frame will become a major tourist destination in the city, like the Burj Khalifa and the Burj Al Arab.
  • The project is worth Dhs 160 million.
