Free parking during Eid Al Fitr

Parking in Dubai and Abu Dhabi will be free during the Eid Al Fitr holiday. Abu Dhabi's Integrated Transport Centre has announced that if Eid falls on Sunday 25th June, parking will be free from Friday 23rd June, till 7.59am on Wednesday 28th June.

If Eid falls on Monday 26th June, parking will be free from Friday 23rd June until 7.59am on Saturday 1st July.

Drivers will be happy if Eid Al Fitr falls on Monday, as that will mean that parking will be free for the whole week starting from Saturday 24th June.

The RTA confirmed that motorists will be exempt from paid parking in Dubai from Saturday up to Tuesday 27th June, if Eid falls on Sunday. Paid parking will be reactivated from Wednesday 28th June. However, if Eid falls on Monday, the free parking will last until Friday 30th June.

Motorists have been advised to ensure that their vehicles are parking in designated slots, and that they adhere to regulations regarding residential and non-residential parking zones from 9pm till 8am.

Abu Dhabi's Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport also announced that all its customer service centres will be closed over the Eid break.

They will resume operation on Wednesday 28th June, if Eid falls on Sunday 25th June. If Eid falls on Monday 26th June, the centres will open on Saturday 1st July.

Saturday night’s scheduled official moonsighting committee will determine which day is the first day of Eid, Shawwal 1 [Sunday or Monday].

Work hours
During the public holiday, some government departments will adopt specific Eid timings in order to continue facilitating public services for customers. And some Dubai and Abu Dhabi’s government departments will be open, however, with shorter operational hours.

Metro
Metro timings for Eid Al Fitr holidays will also be extended until 2am starting from Thursday 22nd June. till Monday 26th June.

Tram
Tram operations will run from 6.30am to 1am from Saturday 24th June, to Thursday 29th June.

Dubai Health Authority (DHA)
DHA Hospitals: The Accident and Emergency Section will function as usual, but all outpatient clinics will remain closed during the Eid Holidays - except for Hatta hospital, as its family medicine clinic will be open from 7.30am to 8.30pm during the Eid holidays.

Primary Healthcare Centres: If Eid falls on Sunday, all centres will remain closed from Saturday 24th June, until Tuesday 27th June. Work will resume on Wednesday. Al Barsha Health Centre and Nad Al Hammar Centre will remain open 24 hours.

If Eid falls on Monday, all centres will be closed from Saturday 24th June, until Thursday and work will resume on 1st July, except for Al Lusailly Health Centre, which will only be closed from 24th June to 27th June and will be open for five hours from 8am to 1pm from 28th June and 29th June. Al Barsha Health Centre and Nad Al Hammar Centre will remain open 24 hours.

Medical fitness Centres: If Eid falls on Sunday, all centres will be closed from Saturday 24th June, until Tuesday. Work will resume on Wednesday 28th June. If Eid Falls on Monday, all centres will be closed from Saturday until Thursday and work will resume on 2nd July - except for Al Muhaisnah Medical Fitness Centre, which will resume work on 1st July.

Residency centres
For visa and immigration services, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners’ Affairs is offering its services from 9am to 1pm from Monday to Tuesday if the first day of Eid falls on Sunday.

However, if Eid begins on Monday, Al Manara Centre and Al Twar new centre will be open from 9am to 1pm on Sunday and Tuesday to Thursday.

The external centre at Dubai International Airport at Terminal 3 is open 24 hours all through the week.

Dubai Customs
To help individuals and companies clear their goods without any delay, Air customs centres at Dubai Cargo Village, Dubai Airport Free Zone (gate number 5), and Dubai Flower Centre will work round the clock.

The inspection section at Dubai Multi-Commodities Centre will work on Saturday 24th June, from 9am to 2pm, and in case the holiday is extended to 2nd July, Thursday 29th June will be a working day.

Jebel Ali Inspection Centre and Dubai Logistics City Inspection Centre will work round the clock during Eid holiday; whereas, Jebel Ali customer service centre will work from the third day of Eid, from 8am to 2pm.

Port Rashid Customer Service Centre will work on Wednesday and Thursday (28th to 29th June), from 8am to 2pm.

Hatta Customs Centre will work round the clock, whereas Dry Docks and Dukamz centres will resume work on Wednesday 28th June, from 8am to 1pm, and on Thursday 29th June, from 8am to 1pm.

At coastal customs centres, the work hours will be as follows: round the clock work at exit and entry gates (inspection and marine operations), Deira wharfage (inspection), Dubai Clock Customs Centres (inspection), and Hamriya Port inspection centre.

Work at Hamriya Port Customs Centre will be from 8am to 2pm; whereas Dubai Creek Customs Centre and maritime operations centre will work from 7.30am to 1.30pm. Work hours at declaration management will be round the clock.
