Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced a new update for Dubai Metro commuters. RTA shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, that new daily protocols are being introduced at Dubai Metro stations to prioritise passenger safety. RTA stated that 'crowd management protocols' will be enforced during peak hours, specifically from 7am to 9.30am and from 5pm to 8.30pm.

RTA has encouraged Dubai Metro commuters to plan their journeys in advance. Station signboards will provide guidance, and staff will be available on-site to assist commuters.

"We apologise for any inconvenience and reassure you that our foremost concern is ensuring you reach your destinations," the RTA said.

The Dubai Metro has not yet resumed full operations following the unprecedented rainfall on 16 April. Four stations, namely Onpassive, Equiti, Al Mashreq, and Energy, remain closed. Stay tuned for all the upcoming information about Dubai Metro.
