Remote Learning For Dubai Private Schools On 2 And 3 May

The National Centre for Meteorology (NCM) forecasts heavy rainfall in the UAE on Thursday 2 May and Friday 3 May. Although not expected to be as intense as the storm experienced from 16 April, authorities are strengthening precautions and advising residents to be cautious. As a safety precaution, the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) in Dubai has announced that all private schools in the emirate will switch to remote learning on 2 and 3 May due to the weather conditions.

KHDA took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share this update.

With unstable weather predicted, all Dubai private schools, nurseries, and universities must offer distance learning on Thursday, May 2 & Friday, May 3. Stay safe everyone.

Following the recent unprecedented storms, which were the heaviest in UAE's history in 75 years, this measure aims to ensure the safety of all students and nursery attendees.

The decision was taken on Tuesday, 30 April, during the meeting of Dubai's Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management, which reviewed the plan to address the potential impact of the upcoming weather forecast. The goal is to ensure the highest safety and security for the community.
