UAE Weather: Rainfall, Dust Storms Expected Over The Weekend And Into Next Week

UAE residents can expect rough weather conditions and light to heavy rainfall over the weekend and into next week. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecasted rain for the weekend and next week. According to the NCM, Sunday and Monday are likely to see partly cloudy to cloudy skies, with a chance of light to moderate rainfall, potentially heavy in some Northern, Eastern, and coastal areas. The temperature will also get cooler, particularly on Monday, especially in the West.

On Sunday, 25 February, it might start getting cloudy towards the night, with a chance of light rain by the morning. Monday, 26 February, will be similar, with clouds and a chance of rain and humid at night. On Tuesday morning, 27 February, there will be possible mist in some areas.

The sea conditions will range from slight to moderate, with occasional rough patches in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.

The highest temperature recorded over the country yesterday, 22 February, was 28.6 °C in Sweihan, Al Ain, at 3pm. As for today, the morning temperatures dipped to 9.1°C in Damtha, Al Ain, and the day ahead is forecasted to be fair to partly cloudy, accompanied by light to moderate winds. Some Eastern areas may experience low cloud cover. 

Temperature highs could reach 29ºC across the country, while lows may drop to 19ºC in Abu Dhabi, 17ºC in Dubai, and as low as 7ºC in mountainous regions. Humidity levels are expected to range between 60% to 95% in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, with a possibility of fog or mist formation in certain areas by Saturday morning.
