Sheikh Hamdan Meets Sultan Al Neyadi At MBRSC

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai and President of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) on Monday, 25 September, lauded Sultan Al Neyadi's historic accomplishments in space during a meeting with the Emirati astronaut at MBRSC. Sultan Al Neyadi recently returned to Earth on 4 September after completing the Arab world's longest space mission and became the first astronaut from the region to conduct a spacewalk.

Lauding his achievement, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan said, "The successful accomplishment of the longest Arab space mission by UAE astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi is the culmination of the dedicated efforts of the exceptional Emirati talent at MBRSC." 

While on his visit, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan met astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi and the 'Zayed Ambition 2' team. He extended his congratulations to the MBRSC team for achieving a significant milestone in space exploration, setting a new standard for Emirati and Arab achievements in this field.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan added, “The outstanding achievements of MBRSC’s missions demonstrate that we have a team capable of successfully managing complex space projects. We have been able to develop a deep pool of national talent as a result of the leadership’s belief in the capabilities of our youth.” 

During the meeting with the 'Zayed 2 Mission' team, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan deliberated on the vital contribution of the UAE Astronaut Programme to the country's space accomplishments. Sultan Al Neyadi also provided a comprehensive overview of the scientific experiments he conducted on the International Space Station (ISS) during the gathering, with the presence of fellow UAE astronaut Hazza Al Mansouri.
