UAE Sends School Aid To Ukrainian Students

WAM

The UAE has sent aid of 2,500 laptops and 10,000 school bags, to support the education needs of Ukrainian students, seeking refuge in neighbouring countries.

The aid donated by the UAE is to ensure students continue learning, following the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, which left many displaced.

His Excellency Salem Ahmed Salem Al Kaabi, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Ukraine, that the aid is part of relief efforts provided by the UAE, to support the needs of the Ukrainian people, and help students to learn remotely.

The delivery of the aid is in partnership with the Foundation of the First Lady of Ukraine, Olina Zelenska.

The UAE sent urgent relief aid of $100 million (Dhs 367 million) to people affected by the crisis in Ukraine at the beginning of the crisis, and earlier this month, the UAE sent a ship carrying 250 tonnes of relief aid to Poland and Romania, which was then transported to people in Ukraine.
