Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) is set to launch new buses featuring advanced technology, for the start of the 2023 to 2024 academic year.
The school buses will ensure high safety standards for students, with over 25,000 children benefitting from the services in Dubai.
The buses are fitted with surveillance cameras to ensure students are not left behind, a system to detect the movement of students during the journey, and an emergency alert that will make immediate contact with the management centre. Additionally, the school buses have a GPS tracking system, and an automatic fire-suppression system for engines, to control fires without additional support.
School bus drivers and attendants will take training courses, to ensure safe driving at all times, and drills will also be conducted for first aid, and to handle emergency situations.
