Food And Medical Aid Provided In Chad

WAM

An Emirati humanitarian team continues to provide food aid to Sudanese refugees residing in Chad.

Field visits were made to areas in Arso 1 and Arso 2, where food parcels filled with essential items were distributed.

The team also supplied Sudanese refugees with mobile clinics, to offer medical support by conducting health examinations and providing the required medication.

The aid distributed by the team comprises of the UAE’s Chad-based Aid Coordination Office, the Emirates Red Crescent, the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, and the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian Works.

Following the conflict that began on 15 April in Sudan between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the parliamentary group called the Rapid Support Forces, many people from the country started seeking refuge in neighbouring countries including Chad. The food and medical aid supplied by the UAE aims to alleviate the suffering of those in need.
