WATCH: Behind The Scenes Video Of The Skydiving Orchestra

Etihad Airways

The Abu Dhabi-based carrier, Etihad Airways, released the behind-the-scenes video of a skydiving orchestra, falling 13,000 feet from the air, while playing the 'Mission: Impossible' theme tune.

To pull the stunt off, Etihad Airways, along with advertising agency Impact BBDO, looked for musicians who are also skilled skydivers, and each artist was given their part to practice and learn.

Custom skydiving equipment was made for each instrument, so the musicians could play their part and then pull the parachute in time.

A professional skydiving cinematographer accompanied the skydivers, to capture the shots of them playing music while midair.

The one-of-a-kind stunt, was in collaboration with the American film and television production company Paramount Pictures, to mark the release of 'Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One', which is the seventh movie of the American action spy series, 'Mission: Impossible'.

'Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One' was released on 13 July, where scenes from the movie, starring Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt, were filmed at Abu Dhabi International Airport's Midfield Terminal.

Throughout the month of August, First and Business Class passengers aboard Etihad Airways, can delight in themed menu and drinks, and also enjoy watching six of the 'Mission: Impossible; movies on E-BOX, the in-flight entertainment service.
