New Electric Vehicles Added To Public Transport Fleet

WAM

Sharjah's Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) has increased its public transport fleet with fully electric vehicles.

The sustainable modes of transport include the addition of 10 electric taxis and two electric buses. The buses have a capacity of 27 passengers.

SRTA has over 750 hybrid vehicles as part of the fleet, and continues to increase the number of electric public transport, which saves fuel and has no carbon emissions, helping in saving the environment.

Electric vehicles can help in saving around 50% to 70% of carbon emissions, making them an eco-friendly mode of transport.
