UAE Public Prosecution has fined and imprisoned seven people for practicing sorcery in Dubai.
One of the individuals claimed that there was a jinn, which is a spirit that takes control of a person, that possessed him and could help in treating people.
The individual claimed that the age of jinn is over 400 years old and is the king of the kings of jinn. The other individuals also claimed to have jinns in them.
A person approached the Public Prosecution as they fell victim to the deception.
After the investigation, the individuals were sentenced to six months in prison and Dhs 50,000 on the charges of practicing sorcery and deception.
