Catch A Glimpse of The Da Vinci Moon

Get a view of the Da Vinci Glow Moon on Friday, 19 May.

Also called Earthshine, the phenomenon occurs when sunlight reflects from the Earth's surface through the clouds, giving the moon an illuminated glow.

Theorised by artist Leonardo Da Vinci, Earthshine can usually be seen a few days before or after a new moon, and is usually stronger during April and May.

The phenomenon can be seen in the UAE around sunset at 6.45pm.
