Young football athletes throughout the Emirates are gearing up for the second edition of the Dubai Schools Football Cup (DSFC), which kicks off on 31st January. Building on the success of the 2014 edition, the new season promises to bring greater participation and even more passion and excitement, with over 2,000 children from 65 private and public schools across Dubai expected to participate this year. Teams in three categories will compete for the coveted first place prize, an all expenses paid trip to the UK in the spring to attend a Manchester United match. These categories are: Boys U14, Boys 16 and Girls U17. An additional category for Boys U12 will compete for a Dubai-based fun day out prize for the whole team. The tournament will take place on Saturdays at Dubai Sports City over six weeks from 31st January, the last three weeks of which will be single elimination games leading to the finals on 7th March.
