There are a number of yoga poses that give you light relief from indulgencies of the festive period.

Seated Cat- Cow- This pose stretches and contracts abdominal muscles . This pose includes two movements which stimulate digestive track and make waste exit the body. This pose is also great for spine care.

Garland Pose- This pose gives relief from bloating and gas related issues. This pose stimulates the digestion process and allows your body to let go of unwanted food naturally. Experts suggest that any movement which helps in stretching the upper body and abdomen and relaxes your breathing is a good posture after dinner. It is often advised to practice yoga with an empty stomach but this is one such exceptional asana which is more beneficial when practiced after a meal because it promotes digestion.

Wind Relieving Pose- When your right knee presses into your right side body, it massages your ascending colon; the left side takes care of your descending colon. This pose certainly helps your digestive system.

Cobbler’s Pose- By laying on your back and stretching the pelvic and abdominal area improves digestion system. This pose not only calms your mind but also lets the digestive system do its job calmly.
