Natural Nutrition: Quark Parfait

Snacking… don’t we all love snacking? This is one of the questions most clients ask me about. They need inspiration for healthy but easy to prep snack options. So I’ll share some of my favourites, my go-to snacks that you can usually find already prepared in my fridge or freezer. These snacks are my favourite because they are high in protein and or a good source of complex carbohydrates, fibre and fairly low in sugars. They are great if you fancy a little something in the afternoon or want something healthy to take with you to the office. As always, get in touch and let me know if you like them or let me know what you need inspiration with. Email me on Stephanie@naturalnutritiondubai.com or follow me on Instagram @stephanie.pech.

Ingredients
250g Quark (Greek yoghurt)
100ml sparkling water
1-2 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp crunchy quinoa
1 tsp crushed almonds
½ peach or nectarine, sliced
fresh mint leafs
100g mixed berries or fruits of your choice

Directions
In a large bowl, mix quark, cinnamon and sparkling water. The sparkling water is not a must. You can use still water, but I find the sparkling water makes the quark fluffier, just how you want a parfait to be. Take a large mason jar and start layering all your ingredients to your liking. I put the dry ingredients on the bottom (quinoa and almonds), peach slices, a few mint leafs, yoghurt, mint leafs and top it with berries and more mint leafs. Voila! This is a great snack that is high in protein and fibre. Perfect to take it with you to the office or leave it as a snack option in the fridge.
