When we opted to review a massage at a salon, we were not very sure if we would get an experience of a professional spa facility or not. However, a 60 minute session changed our perception 360 degrees.
Located very close to Damac Metro station, the salon is located in Trident Marina Scape building’s ground floor. The interior takes pride in boasting a lot of white space which makes the salon look quite airy and open. It has four treatment rooms which they use for their specialised facials and massage services.
After a warm welcome at the reception, a staff member asks you to take a seat on a comfortable grey coloured lounge placed next to the reception area. As you fill in the consultation form, a staff member brings hot towels and a glass of detox water with mint leaves and a slice of lemon.
After you finish your welcome drink, the therapist takes you to the massage room that features a bamboo painting covering one side of the wall adding a spa vibe to the ambience. The massage room looks like any standard massage room.
Explaining hot stone massage, the therapist tells us that direct heat of the stones relaxes muscles, allowing the therapist access to the deeper muscle layers. Combining hot stone with a full body massage provides a very healing and effective experience.
The fully trained therapist massages the body with gentle strokes using hot stones. A 60 minute session is more than enough to rejuvenate dead tired muscles, specially if your job involves you working in front of a screen.
By the end of massage, the therapist wakes us up gently and offers the same detox water to finish off the whole relaxation experience.
