In the Islamic calendar, the ninth month of the year is called Ramadan, which runs for 29 or 30 days. Ramadan is observed by Muslims around the world as a month of prayer, fasting and community. During the Holy Month of Ramadan, the fasting period starts when the sun rises each day, and as the sun sets, the fast ends. The fast is traditionally broken with dates, followed by sharing a meal with family and friends. As the Holy Month of Ramadan will start towards the end of March, many restaurants around Dubai are gearing up for this special celebration, with some amazing Iftars to enjoy.
