SIKKA 2016

SIKKA Art Fair showcases feature works of UAE-based artists, representing numerous nations, encouraging them to share their talent with the wider community. Taking place at the historic Al Fahidi neighbourhood from Saturday 12th to Thursday 24th March, the fair showcases site-specific work, spanning an array of mediums including audio and video installations, multi-disciplinary initiatives, artistic installations, music performances and visual arts, such as painting, photography and sculptures.

The purpose of the Mawaheb art studio is to bridge the gap between society and those adults with a special need. At Mawaheb from Beautiful People, art is used as a tool to develop life skills and encourage students to be more independent individuals. Their theme at Sikka is “Birdlife of the UAE” - from indigenous birds to one's that migrate here from abroad, the theme represents the multiculturalism of both the art studio and the region as a whole. Admission is free. Call 04-3842000.
