Do you love food and more food? Then this is for you.
Etisalat Beach Canteen, part of Dubai Food Festival, is back and open daily from 8pm onwards until 14 March.
The food carnival is on Jumeriah Beach just behind Sunset Mall. Entry is free, to experience some of the finest home-grown and international food concepts.
The experiences are divided into food trucks, pop-up shops, food talks, live cooking demonstrations and live entertainment.
Since there is a lot going on at this food carnival, here is a small guide on how to cruise through different stalls and sections, and not miss out on anything.
The beach canteen is divided into six sections: Oasis Food Plaza, GAC Street Food Yard, Beach Grill, Lacnor Garden, Promenade, and Entertainment Zone.
At Oasis Food Plaza, you can try food from a mix of Dubai-based and inter-emirate concepts, as well as franchise brands. Some of these brands are Zefki, Coco Asia, Dr Juice, Shake Shack, Spill The Bean, High Joint, Cali-Poke and more.
Immediately to the right of Etisalat Beach Canteen’s main entrance, the GAC Street Food Yard features brand new concepts and past seasons’ favourites from Dubai and other Emirates, including Choco Fondue, La Patrona, Pinkberry, Unwind Specially Boardgame cafe, Num Nom and Khun Chai.
Next on the list is Beach Grill, and as the name suggests, just follow your nose and you will be tasting tempting juicy grilled and smoked meats. Hungry already? Look for Hola Delights, Hadoota Masreya and BBQ Box in this section of Etisalat Beach Canteen.
A favourite section from 2019, Lacnor Garden returns this year and features quick bites and smaller curated food concepts such as coffees, milkshakes and desserts. Some of the restaurants featured here are DPS Cafe, Keventers, Bagel Yard, House of Pops, Koshari Square, Acai & Co and Wafflypop Sweets.
The Beach Canteen Promenade offers different tastes and different concepts ranging from gourmet market to food carts. The pop ups in this section include Doh, Vit Hit, Chocopaz, Shan, The Coffee Lab, Churros cafe, California Walnuts and Loopitas Churreria.
Last but not least, the Entertainment zone features fun activities for kids and children alike. Look for the Etisalat main stage, kitch collab, kids play zone, new for 2020 a gaming alley, and a ton of other fun activities.
