Desert Flower International Short Film Fest
Kick start your weekend with some artistic inspiration. It's time to support the local talent as The Junction at Alserkal Avenue is hosting the third edition of the Desert Flower International Short Film Fest, the platform which was founded by award-winning filmmaker Sucheta Phule for rising talent in the UAE to showcase their cinematic work.
The fest this Thursday will showcase four short movies produced by local directors. Phule will also host a panel discussion with the directors following the screenings. Tickets start from Dhs 50. The screening begins 7.30pm onwards.

Two funny humans from India are coming to Dubai this Thursday to spread their infectious humour and laughs across their audience. Taste Of Abu Dhabi
Taste of Abu Dhabi returns for its sixth edition at the du Arena, Yas Island and this year, it comes back bigger and better. Even though Halloween weekend has been and gone, it does not stop us from watching the funniest and the spookiest film of the year, The Addams Family. Are you set for the Dubai Run this weekend, where your track is going to be none other than the most buzzing Sheikh Zayed Road itself. You can choose from a distance of 5km and 10km and it is absolutely free to take part in this fun race. Registration is a must. The race will begin from an area near to Dubai World Trade Centre and will finish at the same point. For safety reasons, a part of Sheikh Zayed Road hosting the run will be restricted for motorists access from 6am till 10am.
