One of Dubai’s most popular beachfront hotspots, JBR is hosting a second edition of its biggest event. #WOWJBR is returning, bigger and better. Starting on 15 November and running for 20 weeks, the event will host a number of live bands, parades, and roaming performers. From Latin bands to samba performances, traditional Emirati dances, daring acrobats, jazz recitals, and much more.
Each month represents a different theme, with the first month representing Latin America’s famous carnivals. The second month will have a festive theme that celebrates the UAE National Day and the winter festivities in December. January will be centred around the mind and soul which will focus on nature and well-being. February’s theme will be overlapping with Chinese New Year and is set to enchant guests with traditional East Asian practices, such as Taiichi and the much-loved dragon dance. The final month of March will host an arts theme, with art coming to life through captivating installations, roaming art displays and a range of foodie treats at the Walk’s food festival.
Commenting on the upcoming launch, Nabil Ramadhan, Chief Executive Officer at Dubai Retail, said: “We are proud to see the return of #WOWJBR, following the success of last year’s campaign. This year the destination will again transform itself into an immersive hub that celebrates art, entertainment and an exceptional ambience. At Dubai Retail, we are committed to supporting Dubai’s thriving retail offering and the government's mandate of attracting 20 million visitors by 2020 through creating unique and compelling experiences across our destinations.”
