Cinema Akil at Alserkal Avenue is playing feature movie ‘My Pure Land’ by British-Pakistani writer and director Sarmad Masud. Set in the landscapes of rural Pakistan, the story revolves around lead female characters Nazo, her mother and her sister who fight against patriarchal structures. The movie is a brave description of feminism as well a strong willed human spirit.
