Out of the many things you should teach your kids, swimming is one of them. The World’s Largest Swimming Lesson (the WLSL), dedicated to spreading awareness about the way swimming can save lives, is coming to the UAE, in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
The annual event is being oragainsed at two major water parks in Abu Dhabi and Dubai on Thursday 21 June.
Yas Waterworld in Abu Dhabi will host the lesson at the Amwaj Wave Pool from 12 pm until 12:30 pm. Guests can sign up for the WLSL on the day of the event at the Qaryat Al Jewana Souk, where registration will be open from 10 am until 11:50 am.
Laguna Waterpark at La Mer, Dubai will host the event the same day from 6 pm until 6.30 pm. Laguna Waterpark is offering the chance for guests to take part in the activity absolutely free and as part of the Dhs 99 admissions price. The guests can sign up at Guest Services at the gate prior and on-the-day.
Created by the World Waterpark Association in 2010, the WLSL aims to reach more than one billion people with the message Swimming Lessons Save Lives™. Committed to promoting the fundamental importance of teaching children to swim to prevent drowning, the WLSL has seen participation by more than 236,000 children and adults since its inception.
Participating guests will receive a certificate for their contribution and participation in the event.
