The Omani driver, held responsible for the tragic Dubai road accident that took place on 6 June during the Eid Al Fitr holidays will stand trial soon.
The accident resulted in seventeen passengers losing their lives and thirteen more seriously injured when the bus crashed into the overhead signboard as the bus driver took the turn onto the wrong road, where heavy vehicles were not allowed.
According to a tweet issued by Dubai Police Prosecution, the driver may receive seven years imprisonment and have to pay Dhs 3.4 million in blood money.
