In a tragic accident in Dubai, seventeen passengers lost their lives after a bus crashed into a signboard on Thursday evening.
According to a police report, there were 31 passengers in the Oman registered bus and the accident happened while the bus was taking the Al Rashidiya exit along Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Road at 5.40pm.
As well as the seventeen people that died, eight others were severely injured.
The accident is currently under investigation, however the bus company has suspended the bus service E05 between Muscat and Dubai until further notice. The service runs three times a day.
The bus company took to Twitter to offer condolences to the family members of those who died.
