This Video Of Burj Khalifa Being Hit By Lightning Goes Viral

On Saturday evening, heavy rain and thunder lashed throughout Dubai and the skies were lit with flashes of lightning.

Though the rain caught people in Dubai by surprise, people with camera phones handy were able to share their images of the rain and lightning across social media. As many videos were uploaded and shared, one short video by a very popular photographer and important figure in Dubai went viral, and reached over 674,000 views in less than 12 hours.

None other than His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, known for his love of photography, shared an enchanting video of the 828 metre tall Burj Khalifa being hit by lightning in a slow motion video. The mesmerising visuals definitely left viewers in awe of nature’s charming show.
