On the occasion of Al Isra Wal Miraj, a dry night has been announced in Dubai. It will apply from 6pm on Tuesday, 2 April until 7pm on Wednesday, 3 April.
All hotels and restaurants across the city will remain dry and abstain from entertainment during this period.
Al Isra’a Wal Mi’raj translates as ‘Night Journey and Ascension’. The occasion marks the accession of the Prophet Mohammad (Peace Be Upon Him) to heaven. The journey was made in a single night.
