In honour of the Pakistan expat community living in the UAE, and to mark the occasion of Pakistan’s 79th National Day, the world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa, displayed the national flag of Pakistan.
The flag was beamed on the Burj Khalifa on two separate occasions on Saturday 23 March, once at 7.45pm and the other at 9pm.
Pakistan Republic Day honours the Lahore Resolution passed on 23 March 1940 and the adoption of the first constitution of Pakistan on 23 March 1956 making Pakistan the world's first Islamic republic.[2]
