New Road Name For Expo

Dubai is constantly gearing up for Expo 2020, with all 'roads' leading closer to the high event. To mark the event, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has ordered a name change to one of the major roads leading to the Expo 2020.

Recently known as known as the Jebel Ali-Lehbab Road, the road has now been renamed 'Expo Road'. The 15km long highway in Jebel Ali, which leads to the site of Expo 2020, has been given the special name as we draw closer to the much awaited event.

“Expo Road is a vital traffic corridor in the roads network of Dubai. It offers an alternative route for motorists heading to Jebel Ali Industrial Area and the surrounding areas. It also serves motorists heading to or coming from Abu Dhabi without passing through the downtown area,” said Mattar Al Tayer, Director General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
