Fake Followers On Instagram About To End!

New age piracy, which is buying fake followers and likes for a minimal amount of money and claiming them as genuine followers, has become just too common over the years, but will soon become a thing of past as photo-sharing app Instagram announces its crackdown on ‘inauthentic activity’ across its platform. In a blog post, the app has made it very explicit that it will soon begin to remove all inauthentic likes, follows and comments from accounts that use third party apps to boost their numbers.

"Every day, people come to Instagram to have real experiences, including genuine interactions. It's our responsibility to ensure these experiences aren’t disrupted by inauthentic activity. Starting today, we will begin removing inauthentic likes, follows and comments from accounts that use third-party apps to boost their popularity."

Instagram explains how it is going to remove all inauthentic followers and likes.

"We’ve built machine learning tools to help identify accounts which use these services, and remove the inauthentic activity. Accounts we identify using these services will receive an in-app message alerting them that we've removed the inauthentic likes, follows and comments. We will also ask them to secure their account by changing their password."

Instagram adds to the blog post that they will add more updates on the crackdown very soon!
