Starting from 17 November, residents and visitors to Barsha Heights, formerly known as Tecom, will have to pay for parking. The zone is now considered as zone “A” which, according to the parking system, will be chargeable at a fee of Dhs 4 per hour or Dhs 2 per each half hour. Parking hours throughout Barsha Heights are from 8am to 10pm.
In October, parking meters began to spring up over the area, causing a stir as to what they would be used for.
The RTA has now confirmed that the paid parking will come into affect at the weekend.
