It has officially been announced that UAE Ministries and Federal Authorities will get a holiday on Sunday 18 November. meaning all public sector employees will have that day. The holiday is in celebration of the birthday of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH.)
The tweet issued from the UAE Government official page states that: “The Ministers will meet on Sunday, November 18th, instead of Tuesday, 12 Rabea Al Awal 1440 AH, corresponding to 20 November 2018, and resume on Mondays."
The end of this month will also celebrate UAE Commemoration Day, and the start of next month will see UAE National Day with the likelihood of another long weekend.
Private sector employee holidays are to be confirmed at a later date.
