The nation’s resident animal whisperer, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, has done it again. Yesterday, HH Sheikh Hamdan, affectionately known as Fazza, posted a video to his social media pages showing the rescue of an oryx. The oryx, the national animal of the UAE, had become distressed after having caught its horns in netting and HH Sheikh Hamdan quickly jumped into action.
HH Sheikh Hamdan sedated the oryx before he and his team approached it to remove the netting. HH Sheikh Hamdan can be seen administrating a stimulant to wake the animal up. He then sprays water on the oryx to cool it down after its ordeal.
HH Sheikh Hamdan is well-known for his kindness and love of animals as well as his care for the planet.
