Just ahead of the new academic year 2018-2019, students from low income families received school kits under a Dubai Cares initiative.
A total of 10,000 students, from kindergarten to grade 12, in Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah received these kits under the ‘Volunteer Emirates’ drive sponsored by retail chain, Union Coop. 300 volunteers gathered at Horizon English School to pack the sets which included back to school essentials such as bags, notebooks, sketchbooks, colour pencils, pens, pencils, sharpeners, erasers, white board pens, rulers, and pencil cases.
The kits have been handed out to students in need in partnership with Gulf Model School, H.H. Sheikh Rashid Pakistani School Dubai, Radiant School Sharjah, Al Ihsan Charity Association, Al Rashidyah Private School, Ajman, and Al Salaf Al Saleh Private School, Ras Al Khaimah.
