The Dubai Police received an unexpected, but incredibly exciting, call during the Eid Al Adha break. His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, called Dubai Police to wish them a “Blessed Eid".
“First of all assalamu alaikum and good morning to all of you, I just wanted to greet you and wish you a blessed Eid while on duty. I pray to God that you will have many happy returns,” said His Highness Sheikh Hamdan in the phone message.
The moral of the story? Like Dubai Police, always answer your phone, even during breaks ... you never know who may be calling!
