Travel To This Country Visa Free

Just ahead of the forthcoming Eid Al-Adha holidays, one more country has been added to the list where UAE residents can travel visa free.

The Azerbaijan Embassy in the UAE has confirmed that all UAE residents can now obtain visa on arrival in Azerbaijan. The new rule came into effect on 26 July.

The new development does away with the need to obtain a visa at the embassy or the consulate-general of Azerbaijan.

The on-arrival tourist visa is valid for one month from the date of arrival.

However, if tourists are staying in Azerbaijan for more than 15 days, they should register at State Migration Service of Azerbaijan. Hotels should be able to assist guests with this on the first day of arrival.

The statement issued by the embassy also stressed that any person that “visited the territories of Azerbaijan occupied by Armenia will be refused a visa to the country”.

Azerbaijan, located just two hours by flight from the UAE, is seeking to attract more tourists from the country.
