The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, in association with Uber and Facebook, have launched their latest social welfare initiative of blood donation.
The campaign is titled ‘Giving is in your Blood’. The initiative was rolled out to mark World Donor Day and will continue to run until 24 June.
Under this initiative, Uber is giving free rides to and from the nearest blood donation centres to people who volunteer to give blood.
The free ride can be easily booked using Uber’s ride hailing app. Simply enter the promo code IFRCDubai when requesting an Uber to the nearest blood donation clinic and receive free rides to and from the clinic.
