Here Are All The Holidays Expected To Happen This Year

So the Eid Al Fitr celebrations have drawn to a close and some of us are feeling sluggish after a long weekend but for some, the holiday came with no days off work at all.

But, fear not, fellow Dubai residents! We have more holidays to look forward to this year:

Eid Al Adha

Eid Al Adha is expected to fall around 21 August - the date is yet to be confirmed.
The day before Eid Al Adha is Arafat Day and usually when the UAE begins to celebrate the occasion, therefore making a 3-day midweek break likely for private sector employees.

Hijri New Year

Hijri New Year is up next, expected to fall on Tuesday 11 September - the date is yet to be confirmed.

The Prophet’s Birthday

The birthday of the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) will fall around November 19.

Commemoration Day and National Day

Commemoration Day will be held on Friday 30 November with National Day following on Sunday, 2 December. National Day celebrations are likely to last for until 3 December.
