Midday Work Ban In UAE

A new decree released by The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation comes as a big relief to labourers who work under direct sunlight to earn a living. According to the new rule, anyone who works under direct sunlight is obliged to take a break from 12.30 pm until 3pm for three months. The rule will come in effect from 15 June and is applicable for three months until 15 September.

The working hours will remain the same, eight hours a day, and will be split into two shifts-morning and evening. Companies that do not follow the new rule will be fined Dhs 5,000 per worker up to a maximum of Dhs50,000 in the case of multiple workers
