Jet Skiers, beware!
The Department of Transport, Abu Dhabi, announced on its official twitter handle that operating a jet ski less than 200 metres from the beach will now be liable to a fine.
If owners or riders of jet skis are found to be disobeying this new rule, there will be a fine of Dhs 500 for the first offence, increasing to Dhs 1,000 the second time and on the third instance, the authorities will impound the jet ski for one month along with a penalty of Dhs 2000.
