Dubai Safari Closes Today

Summer is here and it means many of our favourite outdoor spots will close their doors for the season. The latest edition to the list is Dubai Safari, the 119 hectares wildlife park, closing its doors from today, 15 May for the rest of the summer. The park will reopen in October 2018.

It is undergoing a massive revamp to make the place more friendly for animals to adapt. There will also be new programmes to make a visitors’ journey to the park interactive and more enjoyable. A better version of the edutainment park will welcome visitors on 1 October, 2018.

A Dubai Safari representative said: “In line with our commitment to offering a superior customer experience, the upgrades seek to provide a better habitat for our animals, and a more interactive and educational experience for our visitors. We are confident that our landmark destination will help attract even higher numbers of tourists to Dubai once it reopens after the summer.”

The safari is home to one the most diverse array of animal species in the UAE and aims to contribute to international efforts to preserve wildlife and animal welfare. Dubai Safari aims to be home to 5,000 animals by 2020, and more animals will be brought in over the years to continue providing visitors with a new and fresh experience.
