Hefty fine for displaying illegal posters

You can now face a fine for placing random advertisements on buildings. The Dubai Municipality has warned residents that a fine of Dhs 1,000 will be issued to offenders illegally displaying posters.

DM tweeted a video on Saturday saying that although illegal advertisements warrant fines, ‘smart, organised advertising,’ is welcomed.

Displaying advertisements that are unlicensed are also banned on signboards on building facades, bus shelters, light poles and street roundabouts, and anywhere that disrupts the appearance of the city.
