Have you ever parked your car only to return and find yourself blocked in from double parked drivers? Well, thanks to Dubai Police and their updated app this will become a thing of the past as you can now report offenders by simply entering their plate number. The police will then notify the owner of the illegally parked vehicle via SMS asking them to move and warned against a repeat offence. If the driver fails to comply within the specified period of time, a fine of Dhs 500 will be issued.
Dubai Police have been issuing tickets for blocking a parked vehicle or hindering traffic after implementing the new traffic law which came into force on July 1.
The app can be downloaded through Apple’s App Store or Google Play on Android devices.
