Dubai has launched an ambulance service just for women and children

The pink responder ambulance, which will be initially positioned at Al Tawar Municipality Centre, has been launched to cater to women and children under the age of 12, including babies. In addition to providing emergency treatments, it will also handle deliveries, injuries among children and services for pregnant women.

The latest of the specialised services that Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services (DCAS) provides, the pink ambulance will cover entire Deira from 11am to 11pm. After a short trial run, the service will be launched in Bur Dubai as well.

Khalifa Al Drai, Executive Director of the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services (DCAS), stated that paramedics and drivers with vast experience have been assigned to the service and have undergone special training courses in coordination with Latifa Hospital.
